Job Description

Ledgent is partnering with a manufacturing client in the NE metro of Saint Paul looking for an Accountant to join their team. This role is open due to retirement and the team has very little turnover (high tenured employees). Ideal candidate would have a strong background of full-cycle Accounts Receivable and some understanding of general accounting tasks (G/L, month-end, etc.).

Job Duties:

  • Manage daily financial operations related to receivables, including transaction processing and record maintenance
  • Provide support for payroll-related activities, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and periodic analysis as needed
  • Participate in period-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries and maintenance of assigned balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and review routine variance analyses and provide observations as requested
  • Assist with inventory review or audit activities on a periodic basis
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and provide backup support for other accounting functions as required'

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • 2+ years of full-cycle Accounts Receivable experience (invoicing, maintaining customer records, and collection of payments)
  • Proven knowledge of accounting, internal controls, audit, and financial principles.
  • Experience making continuous process improvements.
